Victorian Electoral Commission comes to Transit!

We were delighted to host the Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) at Transit. Too many community members are impacted by missed votes or confusion about the democratic process. The VEC’s practical education session helped break down barriers and empower people to participate confidently.

The visit had real, immediate outcomes for our local community, including:

  • updated enrolment details

  • new/confirmed entries on the electoral roll

  • support for people with no fixed address

  • on-the-spot interpreting to ensure everyone understood the process

Huge thanks to the VEC team for a high-impact session that reduced stress and improved understanding of how to vote. We’re grateful for your partnership in making democracy accessible to all.
