Work and Development Permit Scheme
Have you got unpaid fines? You might be eligible for the Work and Development Permit scheme!
Transit Soup Kitchen is an approved sponsor for the Work and Development Permit Scheme (WDP) on behalf of Fines Victoria. The WDP scheme is in place to help vulnerable and disadvantaged people with an option to work off their fines by engaging in certain approved activities at Transit.
Who qualifies for the Scheme at Transit?
You may be eligible if you cannot afford to pay your fine and you are experiencing extreme financial hardship. We do require anyone under the WDP to be physically fit, over 18 and adhere to our core volunteering guidelines and code of conduct.
All applicants are required to provide a current Working with Children Check (free via Service Victoria).
